Princeton Tract
116± acres, Johnston County, NC
Description
Located in eastern Johnston County near the Town of Princeton, this timberland property consists of 6-year old planted loblolly pines with large timber along the stream margins. Access is provided by two easements: a 25' easement leading from the cul-de-sac at the end of Mackisons Trail Ct (SR 2420) and a 30' easement from the end of Luke Ct (SR 2421). A new gravel road has been built within the easement from Mackisons Trail Ct as shown on the maps. A dirt road provides access into the center of the property.
Located off the main road, this property is well suited for deer hunting, timber production and recreation. The property contains several streams and an area that was burned. Although no soil testing has been completed, some of the soils appear to be suitable for septic systems.
Timber Stands
The bulk of the property was site-prepared with an herbicide and reforested with improved loblolly pine in 2001. This is a good quality stand and will provide an investor periodic income starting in 9-10 years. The land includes:
- Planted Loblolly Pine: 90± acres planted with improved loblolly pines in 2001. Hardwood competition was controlled with an herbicide prior to planting.
- Stream Buffers: 10± acres of mature pine and hardwoods
- Burned Area: 16± acres
