North Carolina Land for Sale

Hagood Branch

65.8 acres, Mecklenburg County, VA

Ideal for hunting, recreation or a home site, this wooded property is located near the town of Bracey in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Located at the end of a dead-end road, the land is very private but is less than ten minutes to Interstate 85. Several small creeks run through the property and a larger creek (Hagood Branch) forms the eastern boundary. The creeks are bordered by hardwood buffers. A single-pole power line and an access easement cross the property, providing access and opportunities for hunting stand placement and food plots. A walking trail begins at the access road and leads across the property to Hagood Creek. Some of this trail follows an old road bed which could easily be reopened and used for vehicle access to the center of the property.

The property is located near Kerr Reservoir (new window) and Lake Gaston providing boating, camping, fishing, hunting and other recreational activities.

From Interstate 85 at the NC/VA line: Take Interstate 85 north and cross Lake Gaston, continue about 1 mile and exit on Highway 903. Turn right on Highway 903 and go .3 miles and turn left on Old St. Tammany Road (RT 617). Continue 3.1 miles and turn right on Gaulding Road (RT 627). Go .7 miles and turn left on Boyd Road (RT 810). The property is .7 miles. Note: at barn, bear to the right. After you enter the property there is a place to park on the right. Look for the pink flagging which marks the trail that leads to Hagood Creek.
